Pyjamas // August 2016

Hello Everyone! I am sure I am not the only one obsessed with pyjamas, right? A couple of weeks ago I spotted a pair of PJ's in Cotton On Body and I FELL in love with them, then yesterday mum surprised me by buying them and I love them so so much and I don't want to change out of them. Today I will share with you some photos of them and I will also leave a link at the bottom if you want to get them for yourself or someone else!

I am absolutely obsessed with these pyjamas and these ugg boots also from Cotton on Body. The pyjamas look super cute and are really comfortable. They are very silky and keep you warm but are also really thin so you won't get hot and it they will also be really good heading into spring. The ugg boots I have had for quite some time now are super soft, fluffy on the inside. They are hard on the bottom so they are fine to wear outside if you want (I wear them to dance as I have dance on Mondays from 8pm-9pm).

I recommend buying them pyjamas if you are aloud to whilst you still can because they are AMAZING. Thats it for this post, talk to you soon.

Oreo Chocolate Cake Recipe

Hello Everyone! A couple of weeks ago I had the urge to make something so I was flipping through my 'Tanya Bakes' book by Tanya Burr which is amazing and I definitely reccomend for people who love to bake. I was flipping through and found the Sunday Cake which is a delicious chocolate cake topped with melted chocolate and any other chocolate of your choice. After searching through the cupboard and fridge back to front I found no chocolate but I still decided to make the cake but decorate it in my own way. I was super happy with the end result and it was by far the best thing I have ever baked! Today I will share with you the recipe I used and some photos I took along the way and of the final product.

Ingredients:

Chocolate Cake:
170g of Unsalted Butter, softened
170g of Caster Sugar
3 Eggs
140g of Self-Raising Flour, sifted
50g of cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

Buttercream Icing:
340g Icing Sugar
180g Butter, Softened
As much cocoa powder as you want, add more for a rich buttercream and less for a subtle taste

To Decorate:
Oreos, crushed

Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180C/350F
2. Line 2 round cake tins with baking/greaseproof paper
3. In a bowl cream your butter until creamy and light in colour
4. Add the sugar until combined and look light and fluffy
5. Add the eggs, sifted flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and mix until well combined
6. Divide the batter evenly between 2 tins and spread with a spatula
7. Bake for 18-20 minutes
8. Let Cakes cool in their tins then move to a wire rack to cool completely
9. For the buttercream icing mix all the ingredients together until it looks light and smooth
10. Once cakes are completely cool spread icing on top on one of the cakes then sandwich together so one is on top of the other (try to make them as straight and even and possible)
11. Spread as much icing as you want onto the top then sprinkle and place your crushed Oreos on top

I absolutely loved this recipe. It was super easy and was delicious and tasted even better with some strawberries and cream along with a hot chocolate or a cup of tea. I would recommend to make this cake and if you do let me know on Instagram or twitter (@kaylahopeblog). I am going to try post again tomorrow so I will see you then!

Lush Kitchen & Uk Haul

Hey Guys, as I promised I am here today sharing with you a haul of 2 lush kitchen/Uk orders I made. I know in my last post I told you I would put up this post last week but I have been super busy so sorry for the lack of posting. I have planned a couple blog posts for the next couple of weeks so hopefully I can post a bit more often. Any way so basically mum let me do my very first lush kitchen order 7 weeks or so ago and I was so excited and when it arrived about 4 weeks ago I couldn't contain my excitement. Then mum let me do another kitchen order and I also picked up a couple of products from the Father's Day line which isn't available in Australia since our Father's Day is in September.

If you don't know what the Lush Kitchen is it is basically a part of the Lush Uk website where they bring out new and exclusive products every single weekday. Some products they bring back continuously and over and over again as a lot of people love them and other times they bring out something totally different.

Avoshower Shower Gel:

This product was the main reason mum let me order from the kitchen as Avobath is one of my favourite bath bombs. The bath bomb is a very citrusy and lemongrass scent which I LOVE. Sadly I feel this shower gel doesn't smell identical to the bath bomb but it still has similarities. It is bright green and has the same sort of scent but I don't think it is as good.

Iced Wine Shower Jelly:

This shower jelly smells like fresh grapes. It is described to have a grape scent with a touch of white wine which I can't really smell. I was very surprised when I smelt this as I didn't expect to like it that much but I do! It is a bright orange and I recommend picking one up when it comes back to the kitchen.

The Blonde Shampoo Bar:

I decided to pick this up because recently my hair has gotten really dark and I miss when my hair was super blonde and bright so I was hoping by buying this when I use it my hair would lighten. I haven't used this yet so I can't review it but when I do I promise I will put up a blog post about it.

Strawberry Twin Tub Shower Jelly:

I was super excited to receive this and I wasn't disappointed. This shower jelly smells exactly like sweet strawberries. It is basically fresh strawberries mixed with sugar. The colour is beautiful and I can't wait to use this!

Avoshower Shower Jelly:

Again I was slightly disappointed when I smelt this as I expected it to share its scent with the bath bomb but sadly it has the same scent as the shower gel. When I say I was disappointed I don't mean that I don't like the scent I was just hoping that it had the exact same scent as the bath bomb. It is the most beautiful green and I am excited to use this in the bath when I also use the avobath bath bomb and the avoshower shower gel.

Bada Bing Bada Boom Shower Jelly:

I have to say I don't really like the scent so I probably won't use this product as a soap but mainly for bubbles in the bath. I mainly bought this because it was described to smell like the sex bomb bath bomb which I love but with a touch of wine and vinegar. To me all I smell is the wine and the vinegar which isn't very appealing to me.

Thanks Dad Soap:

I was so excited for this as it was described to have a very orangey scent and the orange scented products are one of my favourites. When I smelt this I fell in love with the orangey citrusy scent and eep I love it so much. It is also very cute as its shaped as a block and spells dad on the sides, super cute.

The Modfather Bubble Bar:

I was also super excited for this as it also has a orange scent and it smells exactly the same as the thanks dad soap. It smells so good that I don't want to use it. Sadly when mine arrived the red dot on top was broken off but i don't mind because it smells so good.

Samples:

Lush are so generous with their samples and I was lucky enough to get heaps. I got samples of Outback Mate Soap, Layer Cake Soap, Lemon Sherbet Shower, Mr Dandys Hair Candy Hair Dressing, Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter, Sympathy for the Skin Body Lotion, Sea Vegetable Soap, Bling Toothy Tabs and Ro's argan Body Conditioner

Thats it for this post, sorry a lot of people may not of found this interesting but I have been so so busy. Any way talk to you soon!
