Lush Christmas In July // 2016

Hey everyone, I was planning on putting up this blog post a couple of weeks ago but I totally forgot about it and only remembered about it until now! In this post I will be showing you a small haul plus reviews on majority of the Lush Christmas in July range. As I said I was hoping to put this post up a couple weeks ago when it just came out so it would help you if you wanted to pick up some things but luckily you still can but not for much longer.

If you are totally confused and thinking Christmas in July, what? In Australia we have christmas in summer meaning we don't get to use or try lush's products in the winter so every July lush Australia and new Zealand release a few limited edition christmas products! I didn't pick up every single product since I didn't really enjoy the scent but I have most of them to share with you

Lord Of Misrule Bath Bomb:

This bath bomb really surprised me, it is described to smell like vanilla, black pepper and patchouli which before smelling really turned me off but after smelling it, I loved it. You can't smell the pepper it is just a very overwhelming vanilla and patchouli, spicy scent which is great for the colder seasons in Australia. I have already used this bath bomb and it squirts out beautiful colours of pink, aqua, green and blue and surprisingly ends up turning your bath a pitch black/dark blue colour. I posted a photo of it in the water on my Instagram (@kaylahopeblog) so please go check it out.

Yog Nog Bath Bomb:

This bath bomb is a bit eh for me, some people love the smell some people hate it, I'm not either of them, its alright. Lush describes it to smell like spicy clove, soya yoghurt, ylang ylang and toffee. In my opinion it smells like the experimenter bath bomb but without the black pepper and less overpowering. It contains chunks of cocoa butter which will really moisturise and soften your skin.

Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb:

I didn't buy this bath bomb at first since it shares its scent with the Twilight Bath Bomb from the original line which a lot of people like but its not one of the scents I am in love with. After smelling it in store I ended up picking one up since it looks so amazing and after seeing so many photos on Instagram of it in the bath I picked one up anyway. It is scented with lavender and tonka which is meant to relax you and help you have a good nights sleep.

Drummers Drumming Reusable Bubble Bar:

This product was the product I was most excited for, firstly it looks amazing. If you don't know what a reusable bubble bar is it is a bubble bar on a stick where you can either run it under the running water or swish it in the water to create tons of bubbles, when done you can just sit it aside let it dry and reuse it again another time. This bubble bar is a bright pink on one side and bright yellow on the other, it smells like fresh strawberries and cream. It has little bells on the side and when rattled around they ding. This is probably my favourite product out of all of them and I definitely recommend picking one up whilst you still can.

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar:

This is the only product I had used prior to this new collection being released, it shares it scent with the creamy candy bubble bar which is a very sweet, candy scent. It shares it scent with the snow fairy shower gel which also came out with this collection but candy mountain is a lot less powerful and a lot more subtle.

Baked Alaska Soap:

This soap firstly looks incredible when whole, it is shaped in a huge ball like a snowball and in the middle it is bright blue with chunks of pink, yellow and green. It has a very fresh and strong lemon scent which really helps wake you up in the morning and refresh you if it is a hot and stuffy day, I will be keeping this and using this product in the summer time and I wish I bought more than one chunk!

Angels Delight Soap:

I am in love with this soap and I am quite happy to say it is one of my favourites. It smells like berries and jelly beans and everything delicious. This was probably the product I wish I picked up more of since I only got 100g and I love it so much. I really hopes it comes out at christmas time later this year because if it does I will definitely pick up heaps more and so should you!

Rose Jam Shower Gel:

This shower gel shares its scent with the Rose Jam Bubbleroon and the Ro's Argan Body Conditioner from the original line which is a very strong rose floral scent. The hot steam in the shower makes the scent so strong and powerful and it feels like you are standing in a field of roses. This shower gel is so nice even my mum had to pick up a bottle for herself!

Snow Fairy Shower Gel:

This was one of the products I didn't pick up. It has a very over powering sweet scent which is too much for me but so many people love it and stock up like crazy. It is a bubble gum pink which suits the sweet bubble gum scent. This is a typical lush christmas exclusive and a lot of people adore it, if its still in the store near by you, you should go give it a sniff, you may love it or you may hate it.

Midnight Massage Bar:

This was another product I didn't pick up. Lush created massage bars which are basically solid bars filled with butters and oils that you can rub over your body and use instead of a lotion. Its scented with a typical fruity spicy christmas scent with fig, quince, carob and jasmin. I have heard a lot of amazing reviews on this product and is in a lot of peoples must haves.

That is all for the Lush Christmas In July range for 2016. I would definitely recommend picking up a couple of these products whilst you still can either in store or online. I will try post another post sometime next week and it will probably be another lush haul (hint hint... my very first lush kitchen haul eep!).

June Favourites // 2016

Hello Everyone! Again as I promised I am here again with another post. Since June is now over and July has begun I thought I would share with you my June Favourites!

Dermalogica Clear Start Skincare Range: I am not going to speak much about this since I did a whole post about each individual product yesterday but after using this for a few months I have noticed a real difference in my skin. This range focuses on oily, troubled and spot proned skin.

Lush Soak & Float Shampoo Bar: Again I won't talk to much about this since I did a whole separate post reviewing and talking about this product but this is absolutely amazing. This product has resulted in a huge difference in my hair and scalp. This product is made to help a flaky and dry scalp which is exactly what I have, after using this for just over a month my scalp has improved a lot!

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Conditioner: This conditioner focuses on straightening your hair and removing as much frizz as possible and it certainly does. This product works best paired with the matching shampoo but yolo. I apply this to the ends of my hair after shampooing with the soak and float shampoo bar and after letting it air dry I have noticed my hair has a lot less frizz with just some natural large waves.

Lush Milky Bar Soap: This soap isn't the most interesting looking soap but it has an amazing scent. This soap has a very creamy and milky scent (shares the same scent as milky bar bubble bar) which I have been loving this winter. This soap creates a very thick and creamy lather which I really love and I find super moisturising.

Lush Roses All The Way Soap: This soap is apart of the Valentines day collection that came out in February and it has a very faint rose/floral scent. This soap is super duper creamy and the lather is creates is soo creamy and moisturising. This soap looks so cute and is in the shape of a heart with a rose imprint. This soap is wonderful and I hope it comes out again next year.

Palmolive Milk & Honey Shower Milk: This shower milk is basically a moisturising soap/shower gel. It smells really calming, soothing and relaxing which I really love and it leaves my skin super moisturised.

Lush D'fluff Shaving Soap: Firstly this shaving soap smells amazing, it smells exactly like fresh strawberries as it actually contains fresh strawberries. This shaving soap is amazing as it removed all the hair on my legs and shaves me from cutting myself in 50 different places.

The Body Shop Shea Butter Body Butter: I received this small pot in my Body Shop Advent Calendar last Christmas. It doesn't have that much of a smell it just smells super creamy and buttery in a good way. If you don't know what a body butter is, it is basically a very thick moisturiser/lotion that is very moisturising and I promise it is. I use this after my bath and showers and it makes my skin super soft.

Zoella Beauty Wonder Hand Hand Cream: During the winter my hands get super dry meaning I always have to have a good hand cream with me. This hand cream smells so good and I am absolutely in love with it. I apply it before I go to sleep and it does not leave my hands greasy but when I wake up my hands are super soft.

Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub: Along with my hands during the winter my lips get super dry. If you don't know what a lip scrub is, it is basically a flavoured sugar scrub which you rub on your lips and then you lick it off. This one is choc mint flavoured and tastes exactly like choc mint ice-cream when you lick it off. I then apply lip balm and it leaves my skin super soft.

Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Peach Lip Balm Tint: I love maybellines baby lips products. This lip balm has a beautiful coral pink colour to it which tints your lips when applied. It leaves my lips super soft and moisturised but it also leaves a beautiful colour.

Maybelline Baby Lips Antioxidant Berry Lip Balm: I absolutely love this lip balm. It tastes amazing and leaves my lips super moisturised. I always apply this lip balm after the scrub and it makes my lips look and feel superb.

Kim Kardashian Perfume: I actually can't read the name to this since its in cursive and really hard to read but I think it says "Fleur Fatale". I don't really like the packaging/bottle this perfume is in but it smells lovely so I don't really mind. I don't really know how to describe this scent, in my opinion it just has a really strong 'perfume' scent.

Gossip Girl: I actually watched this whole 6 season series in less than 3 weeks. It is so good and I am actually so sad I finished it. If you have never heard of Gossip Girl it is basically a TV show based on a online website called Gossip Girl which spreads gossip about Manhattan manly the 'elite' to the rest of New York. I would definitely recommend watching this because it is so so good.

That is it for this post. I hope you enjoyed and I will see you next week for another post.

My Skincare Routine // Dermalogica Clear Start Range

Hello Everyone! As I promised I am here with another post! Today I will be sharing with you my updated skincare routine. At one stage my skin was in terrible condition and after receiving some Dermalogica products for my birthday in January my skin has cleared up and improved incredibly. Today I will be sharing with you my morning skincare routine, nighttime skincare routine and some products I use when I am giving myself and my skin a pamper.

The Dermalogica Clear Start Range focuses on oily & spot prone teenage skin. It includes natural ingredients that help clear the skin and get rid of as many spots as possible.

MORNING:

Cleanse: The first thing I do in the morning is cleanse my face, to do this I use the Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash. This breakout fighting, foaming wash clears away dead skin cells, dirt and excess oils that clog pores and cause breakouts. You can use this wash on your face, back or neck or wherever needs deep cleansing. This cleanser contains Salicylic Acid which dives deep into pores clearing dead skin cells and trapped oils which help wipe out existing and future breakouts.

Tone: To tone I use the Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing All Over Toner. This toner is in a spray bottle so all you have to do is spritz it all over your face or body. This unique mist-all-over purifying toner controls excess oils and helps eliminate breakouts on the face and body. Refreshing extracts help cool and revive the skin. This toner also included Salicylic Acid which is combined with Sesame Seed Extract to help minimise the surface oils that cause breakouts.

Treatment: Before moisturising I apply the Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Daytime Treatment. This daily lightweight moisturiser and powerful pimple-preventing treatment in one helps wipe out breakouts before they emerge. This moisturiser and treatment in one helps clear persistent congestion and breakouts.

Moisturise: To moisturise I use the Dermalogica Clear Start Oil Clearing Matte Moisturiser. This moisturiser both minimises oil and shine in one. This ultra light, non-greasy hydrating formula controls oily areas like the nose and forehead for an all-over matte finish. SPF helps shield against the UV rays that can make breakouts worse and cause dark spots. Special botanical oil-absorbers act like micro sponges to minimise shine, while moisturisers keep skin hydrated.

NIGHTTIME:

To start my night time skincare routine I cleanse and tone with the same products I use in the morning time.

Moisturise: To moisturise at night I use the Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Overnight Treatment. This invisible treatment absorbs quickly then works all night to fight breakouts. Rest easy as it purifies to ensure you awake with less congestion, fewer breakouts and reduced redness.

Spot Treatment: After moisturising I like to use the Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Emergency Spot Fix. All you do is apply a tiny amount of this treatment on your spots and let it soak in over night. SIMPLE! This treatment helps minimise and clear your spots and breakouts so you awake with clearer and fresher skin.

Treatment: I actually have a thing called dermatitis around my nose area so I have to apply this cream called Dermaid. I don't apply this every single night since it is quite strong but when my nose looks bad I do.

PAMPER:

On nights I like to pamper myself I sometimes use a couple of extra products.

EXFOILIATE: About once a week I like to exfoliate my face, to do this I use The Body Shop Tea Tree Squeaky Clean Scrub. This scrub is suitable for blemished skin and helps unclog pores without over drying the skin.

FACEMASKS: I love using facemasks and recently there are 2 which I have really been loving and after using I have noticed a difference in my skin.

One of the facemasks is the Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Cooling Masque. This masque focuses on turning down redness and clearing breakouts whilst a cooling sensation refreshes and soothes.

The other face mask is the Montagne Jennesse Green Tea Peel Off Face Mask. I mainly love this face mask since its a peel off meaning its so much easier to take off and I absolutely love the sensation of peeling it off. Don't you? This facemark contains green tea to uplift, ginger for its reviving properties and freshly squeezed lemon to reveal a deep cleansed, toned and radiant complexion. Also a plus, this facemask smells absolutely amazing.

That is it for this post. Congrats for making it to the end since this was a very long post and actually took me about 45 minutes to write! Anyway I will see you tomorrow with another post!

Lush Soak & Float Shampoo Bar Review

Hello Everyone! As I said in a post a while back I am here reviewing the Lush Soak & Float Shampoo Bar. As I told you in my Hair Doctor Hair & Scalp Mask Review (click here to read that) I emailed lush customer care which were amazing and they recommended this shampoo for my dry and flaky scalp.

One of Lush's many creations is their solid shampoo bars. They are a shampoo in a solid form as the name suggests and is meant to last up to 80 washes. When I first heard about these I wasn't very convinced, I thought they would disintegrate and be gone in a couple of days and wouldn't lather much. As I have very thick hair I always look for a shampoo that lathers and foams up a lot and after purchasing this I was not expecting it to but I was proven wrong when trying it out.

The Soak & Float Shampoo Bar is great for helping flaking, itching or sore scalps due to the cade oil it contains which is fantastic foe healing the scalp due to its healing and antimicrobial properties. It also uses lavender and rose for their soothing and calming effects.

This Shampoo bar really helps soothe and relax my scalp and relieves the soreness and itch I usually have before washing. Not exaggerating at all this shampoo leaves my hair squeaky clean, literally, after washing it out when running my hairs down my hair it squeaks. I also find this shampoo tames my frizziness and baby hairs/fly aways which is something I needed since my hair is super frizzy. As I said earlier on I wasn't expecting it to last very long but I have probably washed my hair with this shampoo abut 10ish times and it hasn't shrunk or gone down in size at all.

To use I simply rub the shampoo bar onto my hair and work it into my scalp and ends, this shampoo lathers easily which makes washing my hair ten times easier.

I would recommend picking up one of Lush's Shampoo Bars. They are a great value for money since they last a very long time and are definitely worth it. They leave my hair feeling clean for a long period of time which is fantastic as my hair seems to get greasy quite quickly. If you have trouble with dandruff prone skin I would highly recommended for you since it has really minimised my dandruff and relieved the itch and soreness I used to get quite regularly!!

I know this post is quite short but I have another post going up tomorrow and Sunday for you along with 2 next week.

Love You All
